The heart of building a culture of conservation is connecting people with nature. Our vision for our Educational Program is a dynamic and adaptive statewide network of place-based programs supported by regional “Centers”. Centers include everything from an office for staff to coordinate community and regional education efforts to a site with a facility and staff, such as the Audubon Conservation Education Center on the Yellowstone River in Billings.
Our vision is rooted in the belief that through a deeper understanding of one’s place, including both the human and natural communities, we enrich the learning environment, build civic pride, and inform the public with the information needed to make decisions that reflect community values and priorities.
